Know your audience and be very clear about what it is that you can uniquely offer to them – that was Austins’ main message.

During the run-up to the rugby internationals, Radio Wales brands itself as ‘Your Six Nations Station’ – Exposure Radio needs to be ‘your Glamorgan station’ – a radio station for anyone involved with the University of Glamorgan and its wider community.

As individuals, Austins – who started in university radio – urged students to be passionate, interested, accurate and able to engage with empathy.

Based at Glamorgan’s ATriuM campus in Cardiff, Exposure Radio will be on the air from 10am to 5pm from 23 January to 10 February.
