Lord Mayor loves Exposure Radio

Cardiff’s Lord Mayor, Cllr Delme Bowen is back in the Atrium today to celebrate the success of this year’s live Exposure Radio project.  He’s attending a showcase event along with the MP for Cardiff West, Kevin Brennan, and guests from the media.

Cllr Bowen was twice featured on Exposure during its three weeks of transmission from 24 January to 10 February – first as a guest on the Stories Behind the Songs slot and then in a feature in which he guided two reporters around the magnificent Mansion House.

Guests will get a chance to sample the range of output during more than 100 hours of live broadcasts, produced by students on the BA Radio, BA Media Production and MA Radio and Journalism awards.  Students on other courses also contributed.

The project gives students the opportunity to work in a professional environment to tight deadlines and demanding standards.  The work teaches them the disciplines required in a competitive media environment but also skills which would stand them in good stead in many walks of life.
